mutated vowel on Iphone3G

Since the update on 4.0 mutated vowel can not be activated like before with keeping the key pressed. My hope was, that with the next update to 4.0.1 the problem will be solved. But no, no mutated vowel still. Is there any help. I hate to write -Nuernberg instead Nürnberg. |
