Playback of Audible files garbled since 2.2 upgrade

1st gen iPhone, 8g. Starting immediately with the 2.2 upgrade, my Audible files are intermittently garbled.
Each "garble" lasts a few seconds, and some of the words said in that window are lost, while some are barely intelligible. I'd say I get one garble every 10 or 15 minutes on average.
Any ideas? iMac Aluminum 3Ghz Mac OS X (10.5.5)

No problems here with my audible files.
Have you removed and resynced the audiobook?
Have you tried restarting or resetting? 20" iMac Core Duo 2Ghz;1.5GB RAM;256Mb Video Mac OS X (10.5.4) 3G iPhone-Mac Mini Core Duo 1.6Ghz; 1GB RAM Eyetv w/USB HYbrid
