Post 2.2 - Why Are Some of My Pictures Blurry?

MaDBear 11-23-2008 13:21:00 Reply
I was wondering if there was a reason why some of the pictures I had synced to my phone (not taken with my phone), which were crisp images prior to 2.2, now blurry? Did something change in the way it handles photos that don't exactly fit the screen size/resolution? Do I have to go and alter the original images to match the screen size and re-sync the photos back to my phone? Thanks for any help. iphone   Other OS

All the pictures that I save from Safari are now blurry. It looks like iPhone stopped saving them at the same resolution, which is far from being user friendly. Mac Book   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I have the same issue with photos I have saved through email. They were once crisp and now they are blurry. Funny thing though, if i re-save one of the photos it still displays as blurry, but if I save a different picture that I had not previously downloaded fro the server it seems to display fine. Obviously more investigation is needed but there is a problem. Dell   Windows XP Pro

Update: I sent a test picture(taken from my iphone) to myself and although it looks fine while viewing it in the email, once I save it to the camera roll it displays as blurry. Dell   Windows XP Pro

This article describes this bug in details http://full-speed.org/archives/2008/11/21/iphone_22_update_image_issue.php This bug is so obvious, I can't believe how this 2.2 update passed their QA!! MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Apple needs to make this problem go away as fast as possible. How could they let something like this slip through? The only argument a person could make in defense of the lack of MMS on this device was the ability to e-mail pics to and from the phone. This bug has crippled that defense and crippled the iPhone. I know Apple was in a rush to get the 2.2 software out on the same day the Blackberry Storm dropped...but c'mon. iMac, iBook, iPhone   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Yeah I'm having the same problem here, as I have no MMS I have to use email (not ideal but there you go) and 2.2 has broken this. 2.16Ghz iMac Intel core 2 duo   Mac OS X (10.5.1)   MacBook 2 GHz

Same prob. It may have already been noted, but my 3rd party photo apps such as Piccoli and Camera Bag still display non-iPhone shots fine. MacBook Pro 17"   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   Bootcamp w/ WinXP

This was happening to me with 2.1, so I don't think it's specifically a 2.2 issue. Andy. Aluminium iMac 24"   Mac OS X (10.5)
