I have managed to sync my iPhone with the server, microsoft exchange. But although I have the email and calendars switched on it will only sync the emails.
The first time it did a sync it wiped all of the entries from the iPhone calendar.
Any one know if I have to rearrange my calendars in outlook or somthing. Dell Windows XP

When turning on over the air syncing for contact info and/or calendar events with an Exchange account, your existing contact info and calendar events on the iPhone are erased and replaced with what is available on the Exchange Server for your Exchange account in regards to contact info and calendar events. ? OK I understand that bit. But all of the calendar info I have in outlook has not been synced with the iPhone. I'm sure it is on the server as my PA is able to see my calendar also. What do you think? Dell Windows XP

Your Exchange account calendar info in Outlook on your computer is synced with the Exchange Server, and your iPhone syncs with the Exchange Server, not direct with Outlook on your computer.
I'm not sure - are you accessing an Exchange Server that is supported with the iPhone? ? PowerBook G4 17-inch/1.67GHz/2GB RAM Mac OS X (10.5.5) 7200rpm-100GB HD, ? iPod w/Video 30GB, ? iPhone 3G 16GB

Yes the server does support the iphone - I am syncing emails with the server. But for some reason it is not updating my calendar. Just to confirm the appointments on my Outlook are not stored locally on my PC - it is all on the server. Dell Windows XP

And you have Calendars on with your Exchange account on your iPhone for over the air syncing for calendar events?
If so, sounds like you may need to talk to the Exchange admin. ? PowerBook G4 17-inch/1.67GHz/2GB RAM Mac OS X (10.5.5) 7200rpm-100GB HD, ? iPod w/Video 30GB, ? iPhone 3G 16GB

Yes Calendars On.
I've been in to itunes again to check the settings and it tells me that I am set up for over the air sync on calendars - yet it doesn't work.
What I have noticed is that I can't force a sync for calendars on the iphone i.e. when I go to email obviously it automatically fetches or it's times to fetch - but with the calendars I can't see a setting anywhere that allows me to "go get"! Dell Windows XP

Try turning Calendars off, wait a minute or two followed by turning Calendars on. ? PowerBook G4 17-inch/1.67GHz/2GB RAM Mac OS X (10.5.5) 7200rpm-100GB HD, ? iPod w/Video 30GB, ? iPhone 3G 16GB
